About Neal Forster
It is the viewing of Neal's art that will generate good feelings and distract the viewer from any issues they may have. It is this ideal that Neal puts into his paintings giving the individuals he paints their character on canvas, sometimes quirky, sometimes a memorial and sometimes both. Neal's collectors come from lovers of all animals. All animals are close to his sole and the preservation of them. The places in which they exist is important to such an extent that he strives to support the environment and not impinge upon it in any way possible.

Neal is disabled and since becoming so has anxiety, depression and PTSD, which is supressed when he is creating art. Producing art works as a therapy distracting from the pain and anxiety. Painting landscapes Plein air is difficult due to disability so that the majority of his painting work is completed in his studio using photographs taken by him, friends or family and now has developed the art towards pet portraits with photographs supplied by customers.

Neal has nerve damage in one arm causing constant pain and has bone damage to and suffers from arthritis in the other arm, which makes painting difficult, but the therapy of art supresses the pain allowing a workable level of comfort and by just taking more time means the detail and quality is the same. The use of bright colours where possible lightens mood and allows different expression, which is played with in his use of bright colours where possible.
